CHICKENS GO CUPCAKE CRAZY
Love cupcakes? Love hens? Love free-range eggs? Then British Hen Welfare Day will be right up your street.
The day, organised by the British Hen Welfare Trust, is all about celebrating laying hens as well as their delicious eggs. This year celebrations will take place on Friday, September 22, and the charity is calling on its supporters old and new across the country to get baking in the name of hen welfare.
The event falls during National Cupcake Week, so what better way to celebrate than to whip up a batch of delicious cupcakes and share with friends, family or colleagues in exchange for a charity donation?
From red velvet to chocolate, lemon to toffee, there is a cupcake out there to suit everyone, so long as the eggs used are free range, the rest is up to the baker! All proceeds will be put towards building the UK’s first dedicated Happy Hen Care Home.
Share your photos on social media using the hashtag #BHWD2017. There will be a prize for the best cupcakes, so get creative! For more information, email email@example.com.
This one will do nicely...
