Wild bird danger

QHow can I keep wild birds away from my chicken feeders and drinkers?

AVictoria says: The modern treadle feeders are ideal if you are troubled by e.g. jackdaw flocks. There are many sizes to suit an area and flock. Keeping feed in the hut is another way if there is room, but you must keep water in the hut as well if feed is there – chickens will choke on dry feed. Your hut must have sufficient ventilation to prevent condensation forming.

See page 47 for an update on bird flu, which is carried by wild birds.
