THE COLOUR PURPLE

Your Chickens - - Feature | Showing -

LEWIS WILKINSON is a prolific rosette winner, but just occasionally something has gone wrong, such as the time his mum, Carrie, bought him a new shampoo for his birds. “He was squirting it on poor Chirp, who was turning purple,” says Carrie.

“As it happened, I had bought a horse whitening shampoo. I stayed up all night Googling how to get it out and then washing her. I felt so bad. Luckily, she was white the next day and went on to do well at the show.”
