QHow do I go about beginning my career with horses? Sally Armitage, Wiltshire

AFirstly, you need the right qualifications for the job you aspire to have. The BHS has been looking at its education system, introducing new pathways for those who want to take professional courses, all of which give you the skills and confidence to go for your dream role. In order to sit a new BHS assessment, we recommend riders take the new Ride Safe Award. This’ll teach them how to ride safely, in all conditions. From there, you can choose from the following pathways, depending on your previous qualifications and the direction you want to take.
