Scottish photographer Lindsay Robertson is on a mission — to capture every breed of horse in its home territory, a project that will see her travel the world, from the Highlands of Scotland to the open plains of North America. “My passion for photography was first ignited on my overseas travels,” explains Lindsay. “I spent seven months backpacking round the world in 2009, and every day new experiences would take my breath away. This inspired me to change career direction and Lindsay Robertson Photography was launched in 2015.” Since then, her lifelong passion for horses has been the basis for her work. Lindsay is enthralled by the beauty and spirit of the horse, which she considers like no other animal and hopes to show this in her imagery. “I strive to capture the true character of my subjects, and I know that if I can do this while they are in the landscape they originate from, then my images will be even more powerful.”
