KNOW THE CURRENT STANDARDS

Your Horse (UK) - - Ask The Experts -

The BETA body protector standard sets the benchmark for safety and is recommended by all leading riding organisations and disciplines. Currently, body protectors must show a CE mark and comply with performance standard EN13158. This sets the level of shock absorption and controls the area of the body that must be covered by the protector. At present, the BETA Level 3 2009 body protector will meet the requirements for any equestrian discipline, but keep abreast of future changes at bhs.org.uk/bodyprotectors.
