400g (14oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed 2 small red onions, finely chopped 4 gar­lic cloves, crushed 2 mild green chill­ies, de­seeded and finely chopped 1 tbsp ground co­rian­der 1 tbsp dried oregano 1 tbsp sweet pa­prika 750g (1lb 10oz) lean turkey mince (5 per cent fat or less) Low-calo­rie cook­ing spray Lime wedges, to serve Pre­heat the oven to 180°C/ Fan 160°C/Gas Mark 4. Dry the black beans on kitchen paper, then tip them into a large mix­ing bowl and lightly crush with a masher. Add the onions, gar­lic, chill­ies, co­rian­der, oregano, pa­prika, the turkey, 1 tsp salt and some freshly ground black pep­per and mix to­gether well. Di­vide into 8 equal por­tions and shape into burg­ers. Lightly spray both sides of each burger with a lit­tle lowcalo­rie cook­ing spray and fry for 5 mins on each side, or un­til nicely browned. Trans­fer the burg­ers to a non-stick bak­ing tray and cook in the oven for 8-10 mins or un­til cooked through. Serve hot with lime wedges and your favourite veg­eta­bles or a green salad.
