City-living foxes on the rise

YOURS (UK) - - Our Shared Planet -

The number of red foxes living in towns and cities has quadrupled in the past 20 years. That’s the findings from research led by Dawn Scott, a mammalian biologist, and Phil Baker a behavioural zoologist. Using information from tagged foxes and resident sightings from eight cities, it was estimated there are nearly 150,000 living in English towns and cities, compared to only 33,000 in the Nineties.
