Look, listen, learn

Last year my husband and I took a two-hour boat trip along the Jurassic Coast. There was a young lad of about eight who played on his smartphone the whole time while his parents chatted. When our children were young we would take them on trips and point out all sorts of things. Even when we just walked to school with them we would point things out.
