Bertie had been deteriorating since his wife passed away and was recently diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s. He didn’t want a carer, so Wendy had to spend a lot of time travelling to look after him. SuperCarers matched Bertie with Irene, an experienced, local carer. The two shared a love of music and, over time, built a special bond based on friendship and trust. Wendy now enjoys precious time with her father, rather than worrying about him.
