LET’S TALK lingerie…

YOURS (UK) - - Feel Good -

Finding a comfortable bra that looks nice and fits well can be challenge after breast cancer surgery. You’re likely to be feeling uncomfortable, sore and may have some swelling, so need a comfortable bra with coverage and support. Post-surgery lingerie is much-improved and as well as post-surgery specialists, there’s lots of choice on the high street. Melissa Reeve says, “Post-surgery lingerie will help you build the right foundation for any outfit, whether you’ve had a single or double mastectomy or a reconstruction. If you have high scarring or a slightly hollow chest, a style with a higher centre front will discreetly provide you with additional coverage where you need it most. Larger cup sizes may need a firmer style with thicker straps to provide the necessary support for a larger and heavier prosthesis. After a double mastectomy, your focus may be recreating a natural and even shape with moulded padded foam cups. Or, if you prefer, try an elasticated cup edge, which will help to keep your prostheses securely in place.”
