CHOOSE: Moth orchid
WHY? These plants oxygenate the air and come in a range of colours, so get one to match your bedroom decor!
HOW TO CARE
FOR IT: Water once the soil feels dry, but sparingly and not in the foliage where it will accumulate and rot. Use an orchid potting mix and change this every two years. Trim off the flowers when they start to brown.
WHERE TO KEEP
IT: A west- or eastfacing window is ideal, or anywhere it can get plenty of light without being in direct sun.
Lavender plants have a soothing smell – ideal for your bedside table.
