But­ton nest

Small but­tons make a lovely em­bel­lish­ment for home­made cards

Ma­te­ri­als:

■ 45x30cm (18x12in) thin blue card

■ Pen­cil

■ Se­lec­tion of small but­tons

■ Strong craft glue

■ Scalpel or craft knife

■ Cut­ting mat

■ Sheets of printed and coloured pa­per

❆ Fold your card in half. Us­ing a pen­cil mark out an area on your card for the but­ton nest ❆ Glue the but­tons on to the card to fill in the drawn out­line of the nest shape. ❆ Us­ing a pen­cil draw the shape

of the robin, leaves and branches onto in­ter­est­ing ar­eas of the printed pa­per, then cut out us­ing the scalpel. Cut the robin’s breast from a piece of plain red pa­per. ❆ Glue in place and leave to dry.
