Furry fun!
These garden-based activities by Wood Green will keep dogs entertained all summer long…
■ For adult dogs, setting up low jumps in the garden can be great fun and it’s easy too – simply place a broom on top of two upturned plant pots. You can even you teach your dog to retrieve a toy over a jump.
■ Hiding a dog’s favourite toy or treats around the garden, such as behind pots, under bushes and in long grass, will encourage them use their nose and brain.
■ For boisterous dogs who love to dig, using a sandpit provides them with a dedicated space to have fun without damaging plants, making a mess and getting dirty paws. You can encourage them by placing treats just under the top layer.
