Fond memories of working years
I really enjoyed reading Lynn Brookes’ letter recently about working lives. I started hairdressing at a local salon aged 16 with a grand wage of £10 per week. I loved it. I then went on to become one of the first mobile hairdressers in the area. This never felt like work – it was more like spending time with extended family; my clients were like best friends. I still love working and have a gift stall at a local market. I’m now going to start a scrapbook of my working years. Lynn Eastham, Lancs
