‘Ark’ (opera-ballet)

Kyiv Post - - Entertainment Guide -

The presentation of the “Ark” opera-ballet is considered as one of the top events of the 10th annual modern arts festival GogolFest, that is to be held on Sept. 7-17 in Kyiv. The opera is a collaboration between the musical and theater group Nova Opera, Totem dance school, and Swiss choreographer Oscar Chacon. Staged by prominent Ukrainian theater director and the founder of GogolFest Vlad Troitskyi, “Ark” poses the question of how people can escape from the modern flood of information, as although much of it is useful, a lot of it is junk. The opera explores whether people should deal with the problem by themselves, or build an ark together to escape.
