Have some­thing to cel­e­brate with close friends? Want to talk to busi­ness part­ners but tired of an of­fice meeting room?

The Kyiv Post picked six restau­rants in Kyiv that of­fer pri­vate rooms for up to 25 guests suit­able for both busi­ness meet­ings and par­ties.


Ca­pac­ity: up to 25 guests Cui­sine: Ital­ian

This Ital­ian restau­rant doesn’t charge rent for the room but re­quires that each vis­i­tors’ or­der ex­ceeds Hr 300.

Posi­tano’s menu was de­vel­oped by two Ital­ians: the brand chef of Silpo su­per­mar­ket chain Marco Cervetti, and piz­zaiolo from Naples Enzo Coc­cia. Posi­tano of­fers tra­di­tional Ital­ian food: pizza, sal­ads, br­uschet­tas, pasta, risotto, and soups. The drink menu in­cludes Ital­ian wines, cock­tails, tea, and cof­fee.

The restau­rant’s de­sign features warm col­ors, rooms are well il­lu­mi­nated and green pot­ted plants are placed here and there, which cre­ates an at­mos­phere for both busi­ness break­fasts and fam­ily din­ners.

Tres Fran­cais

Ca­pac­ity: up to 20 guests Cui­sine: French

Tres Fran­cais is a restau­rant that smells like France, sounds like France and is all about French cul­ture.

There is a room called art hall on the restau­rant’s sec­ond floor for up to 20 peo­ple that can be booked for any kind of event in­clud­ing par­ties, pre­sen­ta­tions and busi­ness meet­ings. Tres Fran­cais can supply event or­ga­niz­ers with a pro­jec­tor and a lap­top, and set a ta­ble of any re­quested shape (long rec­tan­gu­lar, round or U-shaped).

The hall can be booked for the time from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m., and from 4 p.m. till 11 p.m. One can book a room with­out pay­ing any rental fee or hav­ing to make an or­der of a fixed min­i­mum charge. The restau­rant’s man­age­ment says it’s open for ne­go­ti­a­tions and wel­comes any kinds of events with dif­fer­ent bud­gets.

Their menu is tra­di­tional French cui­sine — omelets

and oat­meal for break­fast, crois­sants and sand­wiches, sal­ads, foie gras, snails, open pies, soups and more.

Black Mar­ket

Ca­pac­ity: up to 10 guests Cui­sine: Mixed

This restau­rant lo­cated in the busi­ness cen­ter Parus (Sail) of­fers a pri­vate room that can seat up to 10 peo­ple. Black Mar­ket has a min­i­mum charge worth of Hr 1,000 in the bill but no charge for book­ing.

The room has a clas­si­cal de­sign with paint­ings hang­ing on the dark walls. It will be suit­able for any pri­vate event like busi­ness or fam­ily din­ner.

The restau­rant’s cui­sine con­sists mostly of sig­na­ture dishes. Their vis­i­tors can try sal­ads, snails, oys­ters, dumplings and pasta, meat and seafood. The drink menu in­cludes tea, cof­fee, fresh juice, cock­tails, liquor and beer.

This panoramic restau­rant is lo­cated on the 15th floor of Ci­ty­ho­tel. They serve mod­ern Euro­pean cui­sine, mostly Ital­ian, French, Ukrainian and Rus­sian.

Apart from one big main hall, Matisse has a sep­a­rate room for busi­ness meet­ings and cel­e­bra­tions. It seats 10 peo­ple and costs ei­ther Hr 500 per hour, or re­quires that guests’ or­der is worth at least Hr 3,000.

The restau­rant sells hot and cold ap­pe­tiz­ers in­clud­ing tar­tar, br­uschet­tas, oys­ters and scal­lops, tra­di­tional Ital­ian pasta, risotto and ravi­oli, meat and fish, soups and sal­ads. Along with these dishes vis­i­tors can try wine, cham­pagne, cock­tails and other liquor, cof­fee, tea and fresh juice.

Matisse’s de­sign in pas­tel col­ors, mostly blue and beige, goes along with a panoramic view that is seen through the big tall win­dows.

Vero Vero

Ca­pac­ity: up to 18 guests Cui­sine: Ital­ian

This Ital­ian restau­rant is lo­cated in one of the favorite dis­tricts of Kyiv cit­i­zens — Podil. Vero Vero of­fers a sep­a­rate hall for 15–18 peo­ple. They don’t have nei­ther a rental charge, nor a min­i­mum or­der­ing charge. There­fore, cus­tomers will pay for what they have or­dered.

The restau­rant serves tra­di­tional pasta, pizza, fresh moz­zarella with ap­pe­tiz­ers, Floren­tine steak, desserts and Ital­ian ice cream — gelato. Along with food, cus­tomers can taste Ital­ian wine, le­mon­ade and fresh juice.

Vero Vero looks like tra­di­tional Ital­ian restau­rant, trat­to­ria, with dark wooden fur­ni­ture and tall cab­i­nets with wine bot­tles.

Pache is a restau­rant of Euro­pean cui­sine lo­cated in the cen­ter of Kyiv. Their zest is a Josper oven, in which they cook food on the open fire us­ing char­coal.

They of­fer a small room for eight peo­ple and a ter­race for a company of up to 25 peo­ple. The restau­rant doesn’t charge for book­ing and doesn’t have a re­quired min­i­mum or­der­ing charge.

Pache’s menu in­cludes cold and hot ap­pe­tiz­ers, sal­ads, seafood and meat. Cus­tomers can also have cof­fee, tea, fresh juice, wine, beer and cock­tails.

Mod­ern and ca­sual de­sign with wooden fur­ni­ture and decor el­e­ments is universal and will suit any kind of event. The light ter­race is good for cel­e­bra­tions, while a small darker room will be a good choice for a pri­vate busi­ness meeting.
