This bal­let clas­sic, reimag­ined by the Moldov­aborn chore­og­ra­pher of the Kyiv Mod­ern Bal­let Radu Pok­l­i­taru, will hit the stage of Kyiv’s Zhovt­nevyi Palace once again. The two-act per­for­mance re­verses the plot of Tchaikovsky’s orig­i­nal: A swan is turned into a boy against his will and has to face the chal­lenges of hu­man life that goes against his na­ture. The chore­og­ra­phy, cos­tumes and scenery are also all new and mod­ern, with only Tchaikovsky’s orig­i­nal mu­sic re­main­ing un­al­tered. Swan Lake by Radu Pok­l­i­taru.
