The Ukrainian Week of­fers a se­lec­tion of events to en­joy this month

M17 Con­tem­po­rary Art Cen­ter (102-104, vul. Antonovy­cha, Kyiv)

Clas­sic Un­der­ground Con­tem­po­rary is the open pre-auc­tion ex­hi­bi­tion of clas­sic, un­der­ground and con­tem­po­rary art works. The show dis­plays 124 pieces by Ukrainian artists, in­clud­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tives of clas­sic and con­tem­po­rary schools. The se­lec­tion ranges from Mykola Hlushchenko's Last Snow, Ser­hiy Shyshko's Roses and Squills and Davyd Burliuk's Ded­i­ca­tion to Maru­sia to the Rocky Shore by the tal­ented im­pres­sion­ist land­scape artist Ivan Trush, Olek­sandr Royt­burd's Gay Gothic piece, Bor­shch. Sour Cream from Oleh Tis­tol and other ap­pre­ci­ated artists. The en­trance is free.
