Amazing is having seven lives before your first birthday.
When Leni was just three months old, she became seriously ill. Her pediatrician didn’t know why— but she knew who would. The pediatric specialists at NewYork-Presbyterian diagnosed Leni with a rare form of leukemia — but that was just the beginning. Before Leni was discharged, she’d undergone seven life-saving procedures, including chemotherapy, a liver transplant, and gall bladder surgery. In all, it took 10 doctors, 20 nurses, and two NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals to get Leni where she is today: a happy, healthy three-year-old.
