• AT THIS YEAR’S IN­DUC­tion cer­e­mony for the Of­fRoad Mo­tor­sports Hall of Fame, the hall of fame made a $2,500 do­na­tion to the Cal­i­for­nia Off-Road Ve­hi­cle As­so­ci­a­tion (CORVA) and another $2,500 to the San Diego Off-Road Coali­tion. “CORVA ap­pre­ci­ates this gen­er­ous do­na­tion that will sup­port ef­forts to pre­serve the fu­ture of off-road­ing on our pub­lic lands,” said CORVA Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Amy Granat. She said the main role of the Off-Road Mo­tor­sports Hall of Fame is to honor the icons and or­ga­ni­za­tions who have paved the way for the off-road in­dus­try, but it is also ded­i­cated to pre­serv­ing the sport’s fu­ture. She said, “Not only is the Hall of Fame rec­og­niz­ing sig­nif­i­cant achieve­ments made by in­di­vid­u­als in the in­dus­try, the or­ga­ni­za­tion is pas­sion­ate about en­sur­ing that of­froad­ing can be en­joyed for gen­er­a­tions to come.”

• THE CAL­I­FOR­NIA FOUR Wheel Drive As­so­ci­a­tion is do­nat­ing $10,000 to­wards the le­gal costs of fight­ing to keep open the Oceano Dunes SVRA along the Cen­tral Cal­i­for­nia coast. A group called Friends of Oceano Dunes has eight ac­tive law­suits cur­rently on­go­ing to keep the area open for recre­ation and has in­curred more than
