Couples In Crisis!

What should be a happy reunion for GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Franco and Elizabeth may not go as planned, while Finn’s wedding day turns into a desperate search for his missing bride!

The In Depth Story: At long last, Franco and Elizabeth are reunited when this week, he returns from New York City. “He went in response to an ongoing civil suit brought by the victims of crimes he committed during a darker period in his life,” coheadwriter Shelly Altman explains. “As a result of the lawsuit, damages have been paid, but Franco was able to retain possession of some of the older paintings he did back then.”

At the same time, Elizabeth is trying to help solve the mystery of where her sister has gone. “In seeking out Hayden, Elizabeth runs into Franco, who was on a romantic mission,” teases the scribe.

What Liz doesn’t know is that Franco may have returned from his trip with a little extra baggage! “Going back to the city of his birth and recovering these works of art that are reminders of a different time in his life seems to have churned up something inside him,” reveals the scribe, adding that the artist is about to ask himself questions which may yield answers he and Liz aren’t ready to face!

Meanwhile, Finn’s wedding day proves less than romantic when the would-

be bride can’t be located. “Despite the fight they had the night before,” explains Altman, “he very obviously still loves her, and he wants to make things right, especially after a long, dark night of the soul in which he talks to Curtis.”

Altman warns that these two storylines will collide when “an encounter with Obrecht leads Franco to suspect that she knows more about Hayden’s activities than she’s saying!”

As for Finn and Hayden, don’t count them entirely out. “Their story isn’t over yet,” Altman previews, hinting at a final twist!

Will either Franco and Liz (left) or Finn and Hayden (below) get a happy ending?
