Dillon Vs. Michael: “Bring It!”
Shocking plot twists that will shake up your shows!
GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Dillon has proven to be a dream boyfriend to Kiki during this difficult time with her mother, but Robert Palmer Watkins doesn’t want viewers to forget his character’s still a Quartermaine!
“I love that Dillon’s ultimately a good guy,” insists the actor, who’s enjoyed digging into Kiki’s family drama. “They’re giving us great material, so that’s awesome… but being too good for too long gets boring. Plus, you don’t grow up with Tracy and not have some demons! Dillon’s a smart guy and he’s pretty intuitive, but as a Quartermaine, he’s also going to have some of that aggressive, bossy side.”
Viewers caught a glimpse of that streak back when Dillon schemed to steal Lulu from Dante and, more recently, when Ava was hospitalized and he punched Scotty to protect his girl’s mom. “I loved that,” Watkins raves. “I’m hoping they give me more stuff like that. I like the scenes where I get some real dialogue or a meaty moment.”
While Dillon’s been there for Kiki and recently accused Ned of sliding back into ELQ, Watkins hopes to see his character get into it with on-screen nephew Michael. “I’ve become good friends with Chad Duell, and we work really well together,” the actor says of Michael’s portrayer. “The fans would like it, and we should have a story together — because we’re family!”
And while artsy Dillon’s never shown much interest in ELQ, there’s no reason he can’t be lured over — especially now that his mother’s moved on. “Michael’s obviously a bigger part of ELQ than Dillon, but it’s literally our family name, and we both have equity,” Watkins reminds. “It would make total sense for Dillon to cross into that world… and I would love to start feuding with Michael. Bring it!”
A new Q battle may be brewing.
