GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Quinn thinks she’s struck gold with Ask Man Landers, so naturally, the publisher wants to promote her new, hunky client. “Oh my gosh, she thinks this could be huge,” cries portrayer Jennifer Bassey. “She really is very behind this, so she’s telling Amy and Nathan, ‘This is the way it’s gonna be, and you’d better do it.’”

With Amy able to skirt some of those demands thus far, she and Nathan are lucky to have Quinn in their corner. “She loves what she does, and she’s very good at it,” Bassey notes. “She’s in the top of her profession — which means she’s powerful!”

Considering Amy and Nathan’s antics, it doesn’t hurt that she also has a sense of humor. “I don’t know if they know she does, but she does,” cracks Bassey, who promises we’ll learn more about her character this week. “I’m starting to get into her skin now. There are some very funny things coming… but I can’t talk about anything!”

While this storyline offers plenty of

shenanigans, it’s not all fun and games. Not only have Amy and Nathan been hustling to hide the truth from Maxie, but they’ve been manipulating their publisher. “They’re lying to her,” Bassey sniffs. “Nathan’s pretending to be the writer, but he’s not the writer — Amy is. The viewers know that, of course, but Quinn doesn’t… yet!”

Once she finds out what’s going on, that sense of humor of hers isn’t likely to help. The Man Landers campaign will implode, along with any trust “he” has built with readers… and Quinn! “I don’t think she’s the type to put up with such duplicity,” warns Bassey.

But, as clever as Quinn is, the question remains: Will she flip when she finds out, or find a way to flip the script and turn the situation to her advantage?

Their favorite game: charades!
