Liza’s got a tall task ahead this season on TV Land’s soapy drama
On TV Land’s YOUNGER, Liza is still pretending to be a 20-something to keep her job at Empirical Press, ensure the success of the Millennial imprint that she and Kelsey launched and, oh yeah, not ruin her um, “complicated” relationship with handsome boss Charles. However, executive producer Dottie Zicklin says that when the series returns on Tuesday, June 5, at 10 p.m. EST, there’s even more at stake!
A Jaw-Dropping Revelation
“We wanted to address the #MeToo climate that we’re in,” she explains of the sexual-harassment seminar that the office holds in the wake of author Edward L.L. Moore’s potentially inappropriate past conduct toward Liza. “The repercussions for our characters are going to be really interesting, because there are definitely some inappropriate relationships going on in that office!” How might that affect Kelsey and her flirtatious former rival/love interest Zane, who’s recently been hired?
Knowing how badly the struggling company needs Moore’s new novel, The Pam Pam Chronicles, to succeed, Liza will agree to again suit up in the title character’s fur bikini and head to Comic-Con to support the launch. Might the old lech repeat his bad behavior and force Charles’ hand? Or will he use his formi- dable power to keep everyone under his thumb? “This episode has a giant bomb blow up in it!” Zicklin warns. “You won’t see it coming.”
The News That Will Change Everything
Meanwhile, Marriage Vacation, the book written by Charles’ estranged wife, Pauline, hits the stands, and in the Tuesday, June 12, episode, she’s not the only one excited about it. “They’re going to get an exclusive content deal with Reese Witherspoon’s company,” Zicklin reveals. “This could launch Millennial into the stratosphere, but again, the company is built on a lie about Liza’s age, so it’s also very risky.” And in a case of Murphy’s law, it’s also the exact time that Liza’s young ex-boyfriend, Josh, picks to return
home from Ireland minus one piece of baggage — his new bride!
True Love? Whose Love?
Meanwhile, a party celebrating Pauline’s success puts Charles in a sticky situation. “The book is about rekindling their marriage, so to save face and sell it, he’ll have to pretend that everything is okay with his wife,” previews Zicklin, adding that his feelings for Liza loom large. “They’re gonna try to resolve things. You’ll see!”
Just ahead, both Kelsey and Diana discover intriguing new men, Maggie finds new success in the art world, and Lauren’s new business definitely raises eyebrows. Will Liza be the glue that holds them all together? “Everything’s going to get heightened,” Zicklin enthuses. “It all gets more important and more dangerous.”

The relationships between this group could
keep an HR department working overtime
“Liza’s been keeping her secret for her friend, Kelsey, and the company they’ve built together,” Zicklin offers. “This season will be the rise of Millennial. It’s really going to come into its own.”
