Am­s­ter­dam’s Tessiero took mil­lions from singer Marc An­thony

An Am­s­ter­dam na­tive ad­mit­ted he used used singer Marc An­thony’s credit cards to pay for more than $2.5 mil­lion in pur­chases over eight years.

Kyle Tessiero, 36, of Man­hat­tan, pleaded guilty last month to one count of grand lar­ceny af­ter us­ing the singer’s Amer­i­can Ex­press card for pur­chases over four years at an un­spec­i­fied a Man­hat­tan en­ter­tain­ment venue.

Ar­rested in Man­hat­tan in Au­gust, Tessiero grew up in Am­s­ter­dam, records show.

Tessiero cov­ered the credit card pur­chases with cash from the singer’s bank ac­counts. He faces between two and nine years in prison at his sen­tenc­ing on Sept. 12.

The New York Post re­ports that much of Tessiero’s spend­ing went to­ward travel ex­penses, strip clubs and fine din­ing.

An­thony never no­ticed the money was miss­ing, ac­cord­ing to re­ports. In­stead, Amer­i­can Ex­press of­fi­cial dis­cov­ered the theft last sum­mer.

Tessiero worked at an ac­count­ing firm that han­dled An­thony’s ac­counts since 2007, ac­cord­ing to court doc­u­ments.

Tessiero filed for bank­ruptcy last month. His lawyer told the New York Post that Tessiero will never be able to pay back the full amount but will sell a boat and a car to pay back at least $100,000.
