Queensbury couple faces drug charges
Albany homicide victim identified
ALBANY — Police identified Saturday’s homicide victim as Jose Moreno, 31, of Schenectady. Moreno was the 10th homicide victim in the city this year.
Moreno was shot and killed early Saturday morning around 3:15 a.m. near Grand Street and Ash Grove Place. Police said he was shot multiple times in his torso. He was treated at the scene and died later Saturday morning at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Police have not released any information on what might have led up to the shooting.
Moreno’s death was the first of two shootings that day. Police were called about nine hours later to Second Street between Judson Street and North Lake Avenue for an 18-year-old who was shot in the leg.

QUEENSBURY — A Queensbury couple was charged with multiple drug felonies after State Police said they found a marijuana-growing operation in their home.
Police searched their home on Sunday and found 18 marijuana plants, nearly 2 ounces of cocaine, some psychedelic mushrooms, concentrated cannabis and amphetamine pills, according to a news release.
