A: Not at all. For the former Pi­rates of the Caribbean star, it’s all about the writ­ing. He al­most turned down his new thriller, Un­locked, in the­aters Sept. 1, in which Lon­don is at risk of a bi­o­log­i­cal ter­ror­ist at­tack, be­cause his char­ac­ter orig­i­nally seemed a bit “flat” on the page. So he asked if he could tweak it a bit. The re­sult: “He starts as this wild-card rob­ber, charm­ing joker and ro­man­tic hero who then turns into this du­plic­i­tous so­ciopathp and killer to getg what he wants,” says Bloom, 40.
