God bless Amer­ica, and how’s ev­ery­body?

■ The Emmy Awards are held tonight in the Mi­crosoft Theater in down­town Los An­ge­les hosted by Stephen Col­bert. It’s an an­nual must-see event. The Emmy Awards al­lows Amer­i­cans to en­joy see­ing the most num­ber of celebri­ties in one place with­out hav­ing to do­nate to the Demo­cratic Party.

■ Fol­som High School of­fi­cials in Cal­i­for­nia on Thurs­day banned stu­dents from chant­ing USA dur­ing games or at pep ral­lies, afraid it might of­fend im­mi­grant stu­dents. It’s a Cal­i­for­nia pub­lic school, so we should cel­e­brate the fact that the stu­dents can spell USA.

■ Pres­i­dent Trump’s ap­proval jumped 10 points last week when polls show Amer­i­cans ap­proved of his han­dling of hur­ri­canes Har­vey and Irma. Hun­dreds of thou­sands of Amer­i­cans were res­cued from the hur­ri­canes; Don­ald Trump was res­cued by the hur­ri­canes.
