Baggett, Ter­ence "Ted"

Ter­ence "Ted" Baggett died at home in Al­bu­querque, NM, on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 14, from heart fail­ure. Ted was born in Cor­si­cana, TX, in 1925. He grew up in Texas and Ok­la­homa. Ca­reer fields in­cluded serv­ing as Sea­man First Class in the US Navy and em­ploy­ment with San­dia Lab­o­ra­to­ries as a Graphic Artist.

Ted mar­ried Pa­tri­cia Ran­dol in 1950. They set­tled in Al­bu­querque, where he de­signed and built their dream home. Af­ter re­tire­ment, Ted spent most of his time in his ce­ram­ics stu­dio cre­at­ing one-of-a-kind sculp­tures. He was ju­ried into a num­ber of art shows around the coun­try; one of his sculp­tures had been poured in bronze. Ted was a strong Chris­tian and a char­ter mem­ber of San­dia Bap­tist Church, Al­bu­querque. He tithed faith­fully, taught Sun­day School classes and par­tic­i­pated in build­ing sev­eral church fa­cil­i­ties in New Mex­ico. On Wed­nes­day, Sept. 13, 2017, he helped staff the Bap­tist Con­ven­tion of New Mex­ico State Fair booth.

Ted is sur­vived by his daugh­ter Bar­bara (hus­band Don); son Bryan (wife Su­san); grand­chil­dren Brit­tany, Drew, Bryson, Meghan, Tim, Kate, Andrew, Branden, Lau­ren; & nu­mer­ous great-grand­chil­dren, broth­ers and sis­ters-in-law, nieces and neph­ews. Ted was pre­ceded in death by his wife, mother, fa­ther, and two broth­ers.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life will be held on Satur­day, Septem­ber 23, 5:00 p.m., at San­dia Bap­tist Church, Alb. Fam­ily Visi­ta­tion will be­gin at 4:00 in the Choir prac­tice room. In lieu of flow­ers do­na­tions may be made to San­dia Bap­tist Church Build­ing Fund.
