Horn­ing, Mrs. Su­san (Sue)

Mrs. Su­san (Sue) Horn­ing, of Sun City West, AZ, died on Septem­ber 9, 2017, at the age of 77. Sue was born in Pomona, CA to Earl and Norma Clark, and had two sib­lings, Roger and Jane.

Sue at­tended Fuller­ton High School, and went on to earn a B.S. in Nurs­ing from the Univer­sity of Cal­i­for­nia, Los An­ge­les. She mar­ried hus­band, Bob Horn­ing, in June 1961, and they had two daugh­ters, Lisa and Robin. They lived in Liver­more, CA, where Sue worked as a reg­is­tered nurse for Liver­more Val­ley Joint Uni­fied School District. The fam­ily moved to New Mex­ico in 1975, where Sue worked for the Santa Fe Pub­lic Schools. In ad­di­tion to nurs­ing, Sue loved to play bridge, sew, and sing bar­ber­shop, per­form­ing for sev­eral years with High Desert and En­chanted Mesa Show Cho­ruses of Sweet Ade­lines In­ter­na­tional. Sue and Bob moved to Sun City West in De­cem­ber 2016.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band Bob Horn­ing, daugh­ter Robin Mc­Clure, brother Roger Clark, sis­ter Jane Murtagh, and nieces Denise Mitchell, Jane An­der­son, and Karen Dial.
