UNM women’s soc­cer on road

The Univer­sity of New Mex­ico women’s soc­cer team hits the road this week for a pair of Moun­tain West Con­fer­ence con­tests at Air Force (6 p.m. to­day) and Colorado Col­lege (noon Sun­day).

UNM (9-5 over­all) is 4-2 in MWC play and its 12 points are tied for sec­ond with Air Force (3-0-3) and UNLV (4-2) — one point be­hind first-place San Jose State (4-1-1).

Lo­bos se­nior Claire Lynch has six goals this sea­son with five of them be­ing game win­ners. In her ca­reer, Lynch has 23 goals — one shy of third place on the UNM all-time list. Of her 23 goals, 12 are game win­ners (third on the all-time UNM list).

NMSU WOMEN: In Orem, Utah, New Mex­ico State (7-7-2, 1-1-1) dropped its first road game in Western Ath­letic Con­fer­ence play, fall­ing to Utah Val­ley by 5-2 (6-10-2, 2-1-0) on Thurs­day night.
