Joseph Ray "Joe" Braswell

Joseph Ray "Joe" Braswell born on June 10, 1934 in Newnan GA to Hulitt and Mamie Braswell passed June 1, 2018. Joe is survived by his wife Karen; sons Danny (Diana) and Bruce (Julie); three grandchildren, Alysa, Cody (Jennifer) and Dustin; greatgrandson Corben; brother Don; sister Brenda Dohn and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe made lasting impressions on all who met him. He moved easily from one segment of his life to the next; joining the USAF at 17 (Korea and Vietnam) serving for 20 years; moving to Albuquerque, he began working the Allstate Insurance booth in the Sears store and retiring 25 years later as a Senior Account Agent with his own business; finally spending his retirement years following his dream of traversing the US in a motorcoach with Karen for over two decades. A Mason, hunter, boating enthusiast, motorcycle rider, skier and pilot, Joe’s lust for life was contagious. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Please join us for a celebration of his life held at the Taneon Country Club 10801 Academy Rd NE 10 am to noon Saturday June 16, 2018.
