Waiting to pick new justice is in best interest of nation

-

EQUAL JUSTICE under the law was the principle that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg worked for all her life. And now we find that with her death, within just 48 hours, Trump had already announced that he will name her replacement with an activist judge who will change the court makeup to an extremely conservative dominance.

The imbalance in the court makeup will not be good for Americans long term. With a highly conservative court, I foresee that Obamacare will soon be gone. Pre-existing conditions will no longer be covered, and in this time of the coronavirus, no one knows what the long-term consequences will be to our health and what the need may be for additional care at some point.

This is our government, and these elected people in D.C., and especially the president who is supposed to represent all Americans, should be acting in the interest of the good of the whole nation. The people’s voices must be heard (by) their votes in the presidential election, and then let the winner of the election choose the next judge.
