For­get fancy sport drinks and car­bo­hy­drate drinks for post-work­out re­cov­ery. Re­search done by John Ivy, De­part­ment of Ki­ne­si­ol­ogy and Health Ed­u­ca­tion chair at the Univer­sity of Texas at Austin, re­vealed that low-fat choco­late milk out­per­forms com­pet­ing re­cov­ery drinks. Not only does it taste good, it showed dis­tinct ad­van­tages in mus­cle growth and fat loss.
