All about honey—nature’s wonder ingredient for healthy skin and hair.

In addition to adding essential oils to your shampoo and/or conditioner, try brushing a few drops of oil directly through your hair, which holds fragrance even better than skin. You will remain fragrant for hours!

The Aromatherapy Difference

True aromatherapy uses only pure essential oils, either steam distilled from flowers, plants, and herbs or pressed from the rind of fruit. They contain plant hormones, vitamins and other natural elements. Don’t confuse essential oils with fragrance oils that are merely scented by the plant or fruit.

The straight oils have properties that can affect our physiology by variously soothing minor skin conditions, relieving respiratory symptoms through inhalation, or promoting muscle relaxation by producing a warming effect on the skin.

Create a Spa-like Shower

Experience the powerful influence of aromatherapy on your thoughts, feelings, desires, energy level, and overall health. The recipes here and on p. 8 4, which have been excerpted from The Little Book of Aromatherapy by herbalist and aromatherapist Kathi Keville, make a scentsational addition to your daily shower routine.
