VISUAL FEAST 44
The inaugural biennial series New England Now, at Shelburne Museum in Vermont, features artwork that depicts the evolving Northeastern landscape and challenges stereotypical notions of it being “stagnant and quaint.” On view from September 15 to January 13, the exhibition will “explore the striking human interventions of housing, factories and highways” in large to monumental sized paintings and photographs. Among the pieces in the show, curated by Shelburne Museum director Tom Denenberg and assistant curator Carolyn Bauer, is Peter Lyons’ SNE 48010.
