Dilworth Artisan Station, Studio #206 118 E. Kingston Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203, (704) 651-6027

Mary Kamerer is a Pittsburgh native currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina.

For more than 30 years, she’s pursued creative arts of all sorts with instruction from notable local and national artists in the areas of ceramics, watercolor, stained glass and photography. The artist also completed a one-year goldsmithing apprenticeship but still considers herself an emerging oil painter, painting now for 10 years.

The Carolinas afford a beautiful variety of landscapes, from the mountains to the sea, and the artist says she has “become enchanted with capturing the charm and simplicity of life in the rural South. Bicycle rides and walks along our local greenway have inspired me to capture the natural beauty of the marshes, trees and flora that grows wild along the route in my latest works.”

Kamerer’s upcoming exhibitions include the Small Works Show at Shain Gallery in December and a solo show at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham in Spring 2019. In addition, Dilworth Artisan Station has open houses on the first Friday of every month where collectors can visit her new studio and view her latest work in booth #206.
