Vi­sions of Or­der and Chaos:the En­light­ened Eye packs the Carnegie Mu­seum of Art’s Heinz Gal­leries with 200 pop­u­lar and never be­fore seen works from the mu­seum’s col­lec­tion.the exhibition fo­cuses on 1750 to 1850, dur­ing which the world changed dra­mat­i­cally. Euro­pean and Amer­i­can works of paint­ing, sculp­ture, fur­ni­ture, prints and per­sonal ob­jects make vis­i­tors imag­ine ten­sion be­tween ra­tio­nal or­der and chaotic aban­don that per­vaded dur­ing the En­light­en­ment.
