Through June 23, the Whistler House Mu­seum of Art presents The

Al­lure of Venice. The exhibition show­cases the work of New Eng­lan­der Wal­ter F. Lan­sil and other 19th cen­tury pain­ters of the canal city. Dur­ing the 1880s, Lan­sil found his rich­est in­spi­ra­tion and en­dur­ing sub­jects in Venice. At the same time, James Mc­neill Whistler found him­self within the city.the mar­itime works are cu­rated by the mu­seum in part­ner­ship with Fry Fine Arts.
