On­go­ing at the Wi­chita Art Mu­seum is An Amer­i­can Sa­lon.

In­spired by the sa­lon style of the French Royal Acad­emy of Paint­ing and Sculp­ture. Paint­ings by the Acad­emy’s stu­dents were hung as close as pos­si­ble, from floor to ceil­ing.the ex­hi­bi­tion in the mu­seum’s Car­lene and Lee Banks Ro­tunda Gallery has been trans­formed into an Amer­i­can ver­sion, fea­tur­ing 19th cen­tury paint­ings from the mu­seum’s per­ma­nent col­lec­tion.
