In a fall ex­hi­bi­tion, the Hunt­ing­ton Li­brary doc­u­ments one of the most cre­ative and in­flu­en­tial pe­ri­ods in South­ern Cal­i­for­nia ar­chi­tec­ture. Ar­chi­tects of a Golden Age con­sists of 20 care­fully se­lected draw­ings and plans de­pict­ing the el­e­gant, pow­er­ful, whim­si­cal and iconic build­ings of the re­gion built from 1920 to 1940, a time ripe for ar­chi­tec­tural in­no­va­tion.the show opens Oc­to­ber 6 and re­mains on view through Jan­uary 21, 2019.
