Shannon’s will host its biannual Fine Art Auction October 25 at 6 p.m. including American landscapes, impression­ism, nautical paintings, still lifes and more.among the standouts will be Edward Moran’s The Winning Yacht (est. $40/60,000), which is a sailing scene of a vessel rounding the buoy to win its race.the work, which recently emerged from a private Connecticu­t collection, has an estimate of $40,000 to $60,000. Two regionally significan­t paintings will also cross the block. Andrew Winter’s Blue Day, depicting Monhegan Island covered in snow, carries an estimate of $20,000 to $30,000. William Wilcox painted On the Boardwalk, Atlantic City, New Jersey (est. $10/15,000) in 1874, just four years after the first boardwalk was completed in 1870.

There also will be works in the auction from Eugene Berman,willard L. Metcalf, Colin Campbell Cooper, Dwight Tryon, Henry Martin Gasser and more.
