Illumination Entertainment’s smash-hit CG sequel comes home at last—Minions included! Directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud, the film features the voices of returning stars Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove and Kristen Wiig (in a new role), and newcomers Benjamin Bratt and Steve Coogan. The second outing finds Gru still getting used to his new role as daddy to his three adopted daughters, when secret agent Lucy Wilde approaches him to recruit him to the Anti Villain League and use his evil insights to bring down a super criminal on the rise.

The DVD release offers commentary with Renaud and Coffin and featurettes “Gru’s Girls”—Cosrove, Elsie Kate Fisher and Dana Gaier discuss working with Carell and voicing their roles—and “Gadget’s Galore” about all the nifty devices featured in the film, from lipstick tasers to jelly guns. The two-disc Blu-ray/ DVD combo ($34.98) and three-disc Blu-ray 3D combo ($49.98) sets come with loads more: three new mini-movies starring the Minions ( Puppy, Panic in the Mailroom, Training Wheels) and making-of, deleted scene, visit to Illumination studios in Paris and L.A., “Evil Minions” look at the big purple meanies, “A Gru-some Transformation” with Carell and “El Hombre Malo: The Villainy of El Macho.” Evil never looked so good.
