FEATURES Disney Announces Moana Feature for 2016
Walt Disney Animation Studios revealed plans for the animated feature spirited teenager on an impossible mission to fulfill her ancestors’ quest.
Scheduled for release in late 2016, the film is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, whose previous credits include The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog and Aladdin.
Luc Chamberland’s documentary Seth’s Dominion won the best feature prize and Hipopotamy took the top short-film honor at this year’s Ottawa International Animation Film Festival.
This year’s festival received 2,033 entries from 70 different countries, selecting 101 short films and 5 features — an additional 71 films screened out of competition.
