Three top ex­ecs ex­ited Nick­elodeon An­i­ma­tion Stu­dio in March: Rich Ma­gal­lanes, se­nior VP, cur­rent se­ries; Jenna Boyd, se­nior VP, an­i­ma­tion de­vel­op­ment; and Jill San­ford, VP, an­i­ma­tion de­vel­op­ment.

Ma­gal­lanes and Boyd both were 18-year vet­er­ans at the com­pany; San­ford joined three years ago from Dis­ney TV An­i­ma­tion.

The de­par­tures are part of a restruc­tur­ing ef­fort at Nick­elodeon and its par­ent com­pany, Vi­a­com. Un­der pres­i­dent of con­tent de­vel­op­ment and pro­duc­tion Rus­sell Hicks, Nick has been pro­mot­ing more artist-driven projects, es­tab­lish­ing pro­grams like the Artists Col­lec­tive and Writ­ers Fel­low­ship.

The stu­dio also is plan­ning to ex­pand its Bur­bank fa­cil­i­ties with a new five-story build­ing set to be com­pleted next year.
