Brother Paul din­ner set Oct. 6 at arena

Oct. 6 is the date for the 31st an­nual Fish & Fowl Din­ner at Ver­i­zon Arena, ben­e­fit­ing Brother Paul’s Soup Kitchen at the Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene.

The all-you-can-eat din­ner typ­i­cally at­tracts thou­sands of pa­trons each year and re­quires sev­eral hun­dred vol­un­teers to serve food and clean up.

The din­ner will be 5 p.m.8 p.m.

A book of 10 tick­ets costs $120. In­di­vid­ual tick­ets are $15 each. Chil­dren’s tick­ets for ages 5-12 are $6, but must be pur­chased at the door for dine-in only. Pre­pared meals for take-out will be avail­able with adult tick­ets.

The din­ner was started in 1987 as a fundraiser by the late “Brother Paul” Hold­er­field, a pas­tor and for­mer North Lit­tle Rock fire­fighter who founded the church at 116 S. Pine St. Paul Hold­er­field Jr. is now the church’s pas­tor and con­tin­ued the din­ner tra­di­tion in 1998 after his fa­ther’s death.
