Brother Paul dinner set Oct. 6 at arena
Oct. 6 is the date for the 31st annual Fish & Fowl Dinner at Verizon Arena, benefiting Brother Paul’s Soup Kitchen at the Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
The all-you-can-eat dinner typically attracts thousands of patrons each year and requires several hundred volunteers to serve food and clean up.
The dinner will be 5 p.m.8 p.m.
A book of 10 tickets costs $120. Individual tickets are $15 each. Children’s tickets for ages 5-12 are $6, but must be purchased at the door for dine-in only. Prepared meals for take-out will be available with adult tickets.
The dinner was started in 1987 as a fundraiser by the late “Brother Paul” Holderfield, a pastor and former North Little Rock firefighter who founded the church at 116 S. Pine St. Paul Holderfield Jr. is now the church’s pastor and continued the dinner tradition in 1998 after his father’s death.
