More lane clo­sures sched­uled for I-49

Con­struc­tion con­nected to a $27.7 mil­lion wi­den­ing project on In­ter­state 49 in Rogers and Ben­tonville will re­quire overnight lane clo­sures on the in­ter­state be­gin­ning to­day and con­tin­u­ing through Oct. 31, the Arkansas De­part­ment of Trans­porta­tion said.

Crews per­form­ing as­phalt op­er­a­tions will re­quire the north­bound and south­bound lanes be­tween Cen­tral Av­enue/ Arkansas 72 in Rogers and U.S. 62/Arkansas 102 in Ben­tonville from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, weather per­mit­ting.

Traf­fic will be con­trolled us­ing bar­rels and flag­gers. The de­part­ment said motorists should pro­ceed with cau­tion through the work zone or find al­ter­nate routes to avoid the lane clos­ings.
