Mental health excuse

Our president says that the mass shooting inside the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, which killed 26 and injured 20 others, is a “mental health problem” rather than a “guns situation.” This is the same president who overturned Barack Obama’s gun regulation—persons who are on the Social Security rolls and could not work because of a “mental health problem” were ineligible to purchase guns.

Is Trump trying to tell us with his conflicted thinking that mental health problems that are bad enough to blame for mass killings are not bad enough for a person to get a gun? Is his solution that of the NRA’s, that everyone should have guns? How nice for the NRA; how nice for the president who accepts their support! How tragic for peaceful law-abiding Americans.
