Re­pairs OK’d for wrecked firetruck

Lit­tle Rock will re­pair one of its wrecked firetrucks.

Lit­tle Rock’s En­gine 15 firetruck, said to be the Fire Depart­ment’s busiest en­gine, was wrecked and is in need of ma­jor re­pair.

The city’s in­sur­ance com­pany paid $80,030.81, mi­nus the city’s $1,000, to­ward re­pairs.

Sun­belt Fire Inc. in Fairhope, Ala., is the near­est au­tho­rized dealer to per­form the re­pairs. They quoted the city $81,507 to fix the truck.

The city Board of Di­rec­tors voted Tues­day to pay Sun­belt to re­pair the en­gine.
